Today's Band Prac was really cool. honestly. but at first Mr Oura seemed quite pissed with us. eeks. we did Beauty n the Beast today. n he got pissed with the beginning part la. arnd there. even bass players also kenna scolded. haish.

Then he drank the water we got for him. man when he picked up the bottle the label fell off? so spastaded. then it took him some time b4 he managed to open it. man his expression was dem funny when he drank the water. it was a kind of "eww what is this" expression. hehz. then he told us "orh... indonesian water..." then he made he made the kind of "eh?" face. so funny!! yup then the tension kinda broke la. n Mr Oura was in a gd mood. :D

Beauty n the Beast went relatively smoothly after that, apart from my section getting scolded for playing too loud at "Beauty n the Beast", the horn solo part. then he was like "TUBAS! u play so loud for wad? do u know who plays the melody here a not?!?" then I was like "Horn." but he din hear!! then he said we dunno who's playing the melody. I KNOW OK!!! IT WAS A FRENCH HORN SOLO!!! yuan1 wang4 ah4!!! haish. I think that was the 1st time in dunno how long we got scolded for playing too loud? hehz. I like Charis' solo!!! ok fine itz only 2 bars, but itz so nice!!! ok Xiao Han ur solo was nice too. :D I also got "solo" yar wad itz marked on the score: "one player only". hehz. ok fine. nvm.

Oh yar then halfway thru' the piece rite, all of a sudden Mr Oura started singing? guess wad he sang man. u know the song is supposed to be "Tale as old as time, Song as old as rhyme, Beauty n the Beast" yep. then Mr Oura sang: "Beauty and me...." OMGOSH HE IS SO DEM CUTE. but I couldnt really hear from the back. it sounded like "Beauty n 'd'" then stop. so it turned out it was "Beauty n ME" OH MY GDNESS.

Lalala. then did Merry Widow... I screwed it up la. was very tired after trying to play loud enuf to be heard for Beauty n the Beast. argh. then my hand kept shivering. wth. but I guess this means I'm trying hard enuf. too hard in fact. usually when I overstrain I'll just blank out for a while n my hand will start shaking. ok fine that was in sec 2. k fine nvm. omgosh I cant play at figure 16 la. the perc soli. wah biang Mr Oura wants the string bass part to be played? n itz pizzicato? on a tuba? then after band prac I went to ask him how he wants it to be played. so now I more or less know how I'm going to play it properly la. just hope that for Inunion I wun blow n only air comes out. no note. that's been happening to me recently. sigh must go train my diaphragm. sit ups! ok fine out of pt. hmm maybe itz cos I'm using my strength wrongly... that's y I keep mispitching during Merry Widow... hmm. maybe I shld focus my strength more on arnd my lips n my diaphragm. *nods*

After band prac watched the sec 2s' skit. omgdness itz so freaking funny. the expressions on the sec 2s' face was really very comical. hmm but maybe they shld try to say their lines without laughing. ok I shall not elaborate on their skit... if u want to know wad their skit is like u'll have to wait till Inunion. :D

Then watched the sec 1s' flag n baton. I guess they improved quite a bit la. but of cos there's still rm from improvement.

Finally our batch dance! hehz itz really very very cute. I'm serious! yar basically it was just Ling n Ching doing in front n we just follow. wah biang I cant believe we actually managed to catch it so quickly. hahaha. then after we did it abt once or twice, all of us were just roaring with laughter. then me n xiao han were rolling on the floor cos we couldnt stop laughing. man. so loser. rolling on the floor. how undignified. I think the only real risk our dance possesses is not that we'll forget the steps. u just need to follow the others. hehz. the real danger is that we'll be so bz laughing we cant dance at all. man. haha. ya1 zhou4 hao3 xi4. check it out. woohoo I just love our batch dance. n we only started learning it today? hehz so proud of us. keep it up pple! :)

Ok I know JC Band Fest was yesterday. but when I got home it was already 1030pm? so freaking tired I just couldnt blog. ok so I'm blogging now. obviously. argh.

Hehz u noe we paid $10 n we got $15 tickets? in the gallery. erm we sat there during a tempo for the 1st half of the concert. yep. me n qq think that those seats r the coolest. so near the band. but Ginny thinks that those seats r the suckiest ones n that esplanade/nie cheated our money. hehz. yar we sat behind the trumpets. haha at first I thought itz the different JC bands play one by one? then I was wondering wad will happen to RJC band since they're so small to start with n they have missing players. well guess wad. all the bands combined together n then they were divided into 4 bands, each named after a famous composer. I only remember Hadyn n Liszt at the moment. yep. so my worries were for nth. hehz.

1st band had Ginny! yar. n that Kah Chun person who is so freaking zai la. man his trumpet is so... I dunno beautiful? ok fine wad an adjective. pls excuse my lack of vocab. but his trumpet is really very nice. itz gold n very shiny. n his solo is... wah. I dunno how to describe. but it was so loud n so dem nice.
then the conductor was Mr Richard Adams. took me very very long b4 I realized why he looked so familiar. He conducted this brasses workshop for us b4 when I was in sec 1/2 I think. no wonder. hehz. I only realized that after the concert? wah biang. so loser.
but I think the 1st band's pieces were rather serious la. quite.

2nd band (Hadyn) had Tian Yi! hehz. y I sound like... dunno. nvm. k it was this japanese conductor la. cant remember his name. but he was so cool!!. kz. then this band's songs r more lively. n I felt very high listening to them play. hehz. esp the 1st piece. dem nice. then 2nd piece was some Irish dunno wad I think. then Teng Kok had this very nice solo. I like the way he plays his flute. his elbow comes up. hehz. I saw this professional flautist play b4. his elbow comes up too. ok out of pt. nvm. then their last song was On the Mall. yep. at first I was thinking "shopping mall". but it turns out that this "mall" refers to some dunno wad thing. smth to do with military stuff. cant really remember. then the band played it the 1st time, sang it the 2nd time n whistled it the 3rd time. oh man u shld have heard them singing. so cute!!! :) yar. oh man this is my favourite band. >.<

3rd Band's conductor was the Tales of the Sea composer. ok FINE I CAN'T SPELL HIS NAME. then all 3 pieces were composed by him? wah conducting the pieces u wrote. so cool. this band had the most snrs with dyed hair. Kah Hua was in this band.

Last band had Joseph n Xiao Hui! hehz. the pieces were quite cute la. the last one was this italian song called (when translated) ice cream n (or is it with) coffee. wah biang made me hungry. ok outta pt once again. but Joseph is really freaking tall. my gosh when he stood next to Xiao Hui it was pretty erpz. quite scary. then when Xiao Hui hold her tbone (while standing), the end of the slide rests on the floor. when Joseph holds his tbone (while standing), it hovers in mid air? like the instru looks so small when he's holding it. hehz.

I cant remember which band Shi Feng was in, but she was very gd too. hehz. ok fine I admit I cant hear her! but she looked very pro. hehz.

Then after the concert me n qq went to find the snrs to give presents. oh man Ginny din recognize qq?!? yep cos she rebonded her hair mah. then Ginny had the kind of "huh?" expression on her face when qq gave her the present b4 she realized it was qq. hehz. so funny. then Chia Ling looked very very shocked when she saw qq. then she started screaming. hehz. n Xiao Hui also looked very shocked. it took Kah Hua another 5 minutes or so b4 she realized that qq was qq. hehz. she looked even more shocked. hehz.

Hmm. Shi Feng seemed quite surprised that I still remember her. when I called her she was like "Oh my gdness u still remember me?". hmm does that mean she still remembers me or not? siok teng says it means not. haish. then Joseph also looked quite shocked when I called him. cos I was like "JOSEPH STOP!! WAIT WAIT!!" then he started laughing. hehz.
Then for some reason Teng Kok kept walking up n down n up n down n he kept staring at us. cos we looked quite silly standing there going "where's Chia Ling?" "where's Kah Hua?" etc etc. but then I think he looked a bit ke3 lian2 la. for some reason. k nvm.

Hmmmhmm some crap stuff. Joseph seems taller than the last time I saw him. Shi Feng seems erm shorter? then Teng Kok's eyes seem bigger. haha. okok I shall stop being lame.
Then it was quite funny la. see all the girl snrs laden with flowers n presents, besides carrying their instruments n bags. then the guy snrs leh. just their instruments n bags. full stop. quite sad la. they never get presents from their jnrs.

Then Ginny talked for 1/2 an hr to me n qq. erm actually she did the talking. we just listened n nodded our heads. haha. the rj snrs r so cute! omgosh. they'r so funny! the things they do. awww. ok ok.
Erm then later went Raffles City to eat dinner with siok teng n yuh ning. had awful stomach ache n head ache for some reason. haish. as in I dun noe y i had a headache. but I have a kind of idea as to why i had a stomach ache. must be never shou1 gong1 properly again. dan1 tian2 area hurt like mad. it felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife. ouch.

Gave my programme booklet to Chia Ling. a bit sad la. but for a snr, anything is worth it. then Xiao Hui looked like she wanted to kill me cos at first I din want to give any of them. then in the end I gave to Chia Ling. *sheepish grin* but qq agreed to give me hers! yay. thx qq. ur the best. lalala. I want to listen to JC Band Fest all over again!! :D

Well on my way home from tuition today, me n dad were watching this soccer match on tv mobile. singapore vs mymmar. of cos I think singapore kenna trashed in the end la. when I reached parkway it was 2-nil to mymmar n there was only abt 10 minutes left to the game. sure die la. unless got miracle la. last SEA games we also kenna trashed by mymmar. erm actually I hafta admit that mymmar is a very strong team. but that's not the pt. the pt was how the game was played by singapore. it was BAD. not say I wanna downgrade my country. but honestly, it was pretty awful. then there were like abt 5-10 wud-be-goals. the player is so freaking near the goal post la. n not much obstruction. then they kick the ball towards the sky wad. I mean like HELLO. the net is IN FRONT of u. NOT in the sky? wth. then ah. dunno wad the defence is doing la. itz literally non-existent. then my dad thinks their basics is not even there. I hate to admit it, but itz quite true la. the players can control the ball ok. very gd at turning 360 degrees turns with the ball still in their possesion. then they pass the ball to the OPPONENTS wad. if not itz they pass. then guess wad? THERE'S NO SUPPORT PLAYER. so the ball either gets into mymmar's possesion or goes out of the field. argh. I mean itz very sad to hear the commentator say stuff like "OH MY GDNESS I DUN BELIEVE THIS!", "OH NO WHERE IS THE SUPPORT?", "well singapore only has themselves to blame.", "OH his aiming is off AGAIN!" n stuff liddat. itz very very sad la. n itz demoralizing. wth. ok fine the news just reported we lost 2-nil. so we have to beat m'sia in order to stay in the games. my dad isnt very optimistic abt it. m'sia is a strong team isnt it?

Then my dad was telling me how the dunno who minister la. say wad other countries buy other countries' players to play for them n we can do the same too. He thinks players can be bought on the streets is it? 3 for $10 ah? transfer fees of players leh. we're talking abt MILLIONS of pounds here ok. bullshit. still say wad singapore getting into world cup 2010. now we cant even beat our own neighbouring countries wad makes u think we can come up against teams like Brazil n England? I mean face it la. instead of trying to buy players, (who probably wun be much good if they have to end up coming to singapore) y not spend the money on getting a world class professional coach to brush up the team's skills? y not make our OWN local players into excellent players like michael owen n ronaldo? y waste money importing foreign players?

N my dad told me ah seng uncle's son is in national bball team la. they're supposed to get $15 allowance every trg. n even that $15 also can owe for wad 2 or 3 mths b4 they actually GET the money? then they win some match n they get wad. MILO. ok that one not very sure. either milo or some milo sponsored stuff. wadever. itz dem sad la. n they wad import some china players who r not even gd. in the end one yr later the china players get sent back to china. wad a waste of money.

K our swim team. u see Joscelin Yeo. U cant deny she's gd la. she's excellent lor. "Singapore's Golden Girl". in the end the country just take it for granted she confirmed everything win one wad. then last SEA games she lost the gold medal for 50m freestyle. n the media had to make such a HUGE FUSS OVER IT. I mean ok she lost one gold medal for an event she's been winning since 1993? but she won 3 other events wad. u cant say just bcos she lost one event she's no longer gd. at least she still holds the SEA games record for that event. n our other swimmers did well too wad. new golds, personal bests, records r broken... how come not much is mentioned abt them?

Then our atheletes really go pin1 very hard one lor. anyone can tell that. then they win a few gold medals let's say. itz only counted as one gold la. then they train so hard they get a medal. ok u get gold government maybe reward u a bit la. give u some money n that's it. u see m'sia. u get a gold medal rite. u get a bungalow, u get lots of cash n u get a plot of land ok. see wad our local atheletes get. n still the government prefers to be more proud of our imported atheletes. wth. how do u expect local atheletes to really produce results if this is the kind of shit u give them? they try so hard is this all ur going to give them? r "local goods" really no match for "foreign goods"?

One person we're quite familiar with. Ang Peng Siong. one of singapore's star swimmers of the past. when he was an athelete he din get much wad. now he's a coach at least he can earn a living n still be involved in the sport he loves.

I mean. itz not pt just SAYING u care for our local atheletes lor. must have some xing2 dong4 to prove it rite. look at Tan Howe Liang. Olympics Silver. itz possible for our present atheletes now. n I'm referring to the LOCAL ones. no pt just foreign players like Li Jia Wei or Jing Jun Hong bringing back the medals rite. wad abt our other players? they'r as good if not better than them la. dun support the atheletes just bcos they can bring back medals to reflect well on the country. sports is more than that. there's more to life than just winning. there's more to sports than just getting gold. yes getting gold is good. but shldnt playing sports have more than just aiming to get gold n nth else but the gold?

Ok I know that there will be pple who'll beg to differ with my viewpts, but then the above is purely just my opinion n represents no company's or whoever's stand. yep. to sum it up, all I'm saying is, give our local atheletes more chance. relax on the foreign import. we have enuf local talent to support singapore's sports scene.

Yep watched that show just now. man is it freaky or what. itz chao1 scary la. like this tape from pakinstan. this grp of teens were posing with this supposedly tame lion. then all of a sudden the lion just turned n grabbed the nearest teen. as in the teen's arm ended up in the lion's jaws la. wah lau then his frens were like holding on to him trying to pull him free. very scary. in the end the lion let go la. my gosh. can u imagine wad wud have happened if the lion refused to let go? *shudders*

Then got this guy kenna sucked into some war jet engine? if itz not bcos his clothes got caught in the engine stuff rite, he wud have to shredded to pieces by the compressor blades. ewww. imagine u r working like to ensure nth goes wrong with the flight n all of a sudden u get sucked into the engine? argh.

Ok actually I worked myself into quite a frenzy when i just got home after tuition. shall elaborate more in the next entry. actually I was really worked up. but then this show was so scary my temper deflated a bit. hehz. shall try to include as much details as possible. hehz.

I am super bloody pissed with it. the ONLY album it could play was my No.1 cowboy one. the marty robbins one. yep. then just now I had to delete everything n reload EVERY SINGLE SONG back into it b4 it could play them. wad the shit. demmit. @#$%^&*. wah lau. pissed off like mad. n ah the all audio thing. guess wad. it din arrange my songs according to album. n I forgot how to move the songs liao. so now rhapsodia is the 1st song, then the whole marty robbins album. then virginia. then cadenza 8 album. then the band pieces album. then merry widow. wah itz so damn organized I cant stand it lor. wth.

then ah. my com is getting more n more crazy. first there was this so called msn messenger update. so I click update mah. then it turned out it was some shit dunno wad that's NOT related to msn AT ALL. n now these porno website links n online gambling stuff keeps popping out on my com. n just now ah. mavis sent me an email. n guess wad. it sent itself TEN FREAKING TIMES b4 it finally stopped. N ALL THE EMAILS R THE SAME. WTH.

n the colour scheme of my lovely com is getting from bad to worse. I'm not sure whether itz the monitor or the cpu. but then the monitor has been with us since I was born? n nth happened to it. but our lovely cpu. only been with us for dunno a few yrs? n how many times did the hard disk CRASH?!? wah lau made me lose ALL my pri sch projects N my lower sec projects N a lot of stuff la. wad the shit. Yep we played shadow of golgotha today. man threw us completely off guard. I was like "oh shit. die liao". kz. but itz a really really nice song. :) but itz very confusing. like same melody for a few sections but everyone starts at different times. wah biang chao1 confusing. then arnd letter F letter G there rite. wah biang we hold long notes also can get lost. then count the bar rests count until get lost. then that part soft n mysterious all of a sudden the CATs n Horns just play the super loud note. wah biang got a shock.

Hmm think this piece is even more challenging than fantasy variations n gr. wah biang. Hmm must go practise this piece very very hard. itz real tough.

Wah lau screw my windows media player. I select Merry Widow n it keeps jumping a few songs down to play Rhapsodia. not say that I dun want to listent to Rhapsodia, but I wanna hear the other songs first. wad the shit. demmit.

Yep. today is hari raya. public holiday. woohoo. yar woke up at like wad 730 this morning? my dad la... so freaking noisy I woke up. so dem tired I went back to sleep again... then my sleep was on off on off... dem irritating. yep then woke up proper at 900... watched the jap movie at 1000. the zai4 jian4 ying2 huo3 chong2. omg itz dem touching. n the girl is so cute!! ok fine she's a cartoon character. but the show is so dem nice ok. the love the boy n his sis had for each other... it was so super touching I cried when the sister died. haish.

Then after I bathed (very hurriedly), went to orchard mrt station to meet my fren (who brought his other fren along [yes I know his fren too]). then we went to watch cold creek manor after lunch.

Yep cold creek manor was rather disappointing la. like u see the trailer u expect to see ghosts of the past coming back to haunt... well, ur wrong. there's no ghost at all. the mystery component is rather crap la. there's only a crazy murderer who murdered his family, then this other family moved in, he came back to take revenge on them. prob cos he was afraid they'll find out abt the murder. not very sure.

but the scary part was really pretty scary. as in not the whole show la. just one small part of the show where I freaked out like mad but din scream. ok fine wadever. the part where the bodies were found la. then the dale person (murderer) pushed lea (sharon stone) into the "devil's throat" (a kind of well) then they showed the dead bodies la. man that was, in my fren's words, "wah lau dem sick leh". yar. freaky.

wah biang then some parts r really a bit scary la. then the rest of the audience (apart from prob 3 of us) kept laughing mah. taibangle. then we look at each other. "wad's so funny?" hehz. wadever. maybe we're slow. or rather, singaporeans have a weird sense of humour. hehz.

but on the whole, today was really very fun. yes I din include details. just accept the fact that it was fun. hehz.

Oh I forgot to talk abt batch dance. or wad there is now abt batch dance. basically bridget n ching r coming up with the moves. so u can imagine wad itz like. they showed me n the saxes today. wah biang it is super cute I'm telling u. really. then I laughed so hard I cried. itz really very very funny. n itz supposed to be partner dancing. really living up to our sec 1 orientation theme: retro. itz dem retro. everyone is gonna love it. I'm serious. provided we dun die laughing while doing it. hehz. I wanna be a guy!! yes I'll be a guy with chao1 long hair rite. hehz. hmmm then the snrs were telling us to do it for them. so they could give us tips based on their experience from their batch dance. I remember theirs some pretty woman song thing. very funny also. eh I think ours will be a hit man. itz really cute. woohoo. eh bridget dun go korea liao la. stay in singapore to teach us the dance. haha. LoLz.

Hmm was reading other pple's blogs just now... seems like the stereotyping thing of sec schs have quite a large impact on us. can see pple writing stuff abt how much they hate sch. dunno why.

But then it really sets me thinking... why do I love rgs? I havent really thought abt that qns until now. my cousin says itz bcos rgs is one of the top schs n blah blah blah. the premium sch crap. wth. no. I dun think itz bcos of that. like being in rg for 3 yrs already... yet when I'm in sch I dun really focus much on the "we're a top sch" kind of mindset. smtimes when I'm in sch I can even forget wad my sch is called.

So could it be all my frens at sch? not that I have many... but 309... the brasses n many more... could it be cos of them that I love sch? so does that mean once I leave rgs I wun like rgs anymore cos my frens wun be there? possible. dunno why so many pple still like their pri sch. upper pri was kinda like hell for me. I din even go for prize giving in p6 which was supposedly farewell for the p6es. yes I ponned.

But honestly speaking there r many things of the sch I dun really like or approve of. but then nth is perfect rite. smtimes imperfection only serves to enhance the beauty of an object.

Ok wad abt the band? I really love the band la. so if I'm not in band does that mean I wun love the sch anymore?

Wah like so many non-rgs pple already hate our sch like mad liao huh... words like "stuck-up", "snobs", "very full of themselves" such n such is bad enuf. then u see rgs students saying stuff like "I hate rg", "I dun love my sch"... wah lau. is loving ur sch really so hard? or is it the pressure society puts on us? or is there smth really evil abt the sch that I can't see? true we get pissed off every single day cos of some stupid thing the sch decides to do or some silly policy or event that puts everyone off... but is that really so great a force to make u say that u hate ur sch?

so much for sch spirit. so much for rafflesian spirit. ok fine I admit I dun cheer much in sch when the prefects get up there n tries to force the sch to cheer... but I do put in all my effort to cheer on our players, our athelets at the actual event. wah lau if u go support a match just to get activity pts, then y do u still go? cca pts? do they really matter so much u'll go for smth u know u'll hate? wad's the pt?

K I'm getting over emotional once again. I suppose loving the sch is like loving the band. I dun think "why?" I just do. sure I dun do much, I dun really contribute... but... aiya wadever la. I'm starting to tok cok. wth. to end off, if u dun love the sch, then y r u still here?

K got back from sch not long ago. my house kenna invaded by a terrorist, ie cockroach. yep. then it took like 1/2 the can of shieldtox according to my mom to kill it. so now she's scrubbing the kitchen n I cant even go to the toilet. wth. argh.

I'm in a very pissed off mood right now. dunno why. just feel like sian n irritated at dunno wad. wah biang.

Today Ginny, Xiao Hui n Alison came back. then xiao hui asked me "hello eunice wad r u doing? y r u just standing there stoning?" then I realized I din know how to answer her. really din know. I was stoning n I din even realize it. man I think I'm starting to bcome like Mary Turner. start to do smth n then just leave it without realizing it. but xiao hui is very funny. yep. I'm always very amused by her. she's so nice! :)

Hmmm. I think my english is improving. my msn nicks seem to be getting progressively cheemer (by my standards) n I'm quite proud of that. hehz.

Tmr is Hari Raya. Selemat Hari Raya Amanda! hmm did I spell that correctly? heck. Tmr will be a long long day... wonder how I'm going to spend it. somehow movies seem to have lost their glamour for me. usually I'll be very tempted to watch movies arnd this time of the yr. but rite now... I dunno. All of a sudden I just want to study n mug n kill myself doing holiday homework. argh I'm mad.

Seem to be getting harrassed by a constant headache. right side of my head can ache the whole day. itz not a sharp pain... just like slow gradual one... on n off n on n off... argh.
